Preparing multi-actor projects in a co-creative way

Project Details

Description

General introduction

A multi-actor approach in scientific research (i.e. engaging organizations other than research centers) is a challenge. Europe wishes, through the PREMIERE project, to strengthen the multi-actor approach, in particular with expert support in conceiving Horizon Europe project proposals. Specifically, this includes improving the search for suitable partners, building a multi-actor partnership, co-designing the work plan and budget negotiations. Special attention is paid to involving new, never-before-involved organizations.

Research approach

By "support" PREMIERE means providing support activities and producing user-friendly materials.

Organizing brokerage events for multi-actor projects

Pilot seed funding for project proposal development, specifically to engage EIP-AGRI Operational Groups in Horizon Europe

Celebration of successful new multi-actor projects at 'Granting Parties'

Multi-actor training through a multi-actor simulation game, an online Serious Game, an Online Academy, and a MOOC as well as offline training-for-trainers

Divers other outputs such as online videos, creative videos, How-to-Guides etc.

Relevance/Valorisation

The EU's multi-actor approach is designed to increase incentives for project applicants (researchers) to ensure that their potential future users of research results contribute to the development and implementation of a project from the beginning to the end of the activities. More than 40% of all topics in Cluster 6 of the Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Program require this multi-actor approach. That percentage is increasing in the future. Success in the multi-actor approach is achieved only when academic and non-academic consortium members can truly find each other and work together on an equal footing. Europe realizes that this does not happen automatically. Premiere's output (online videos, creative videos, How-to-Guides, and the many physical actions) is expected to lead to more relevant, coherent, and well-prepared multi-actor research proposals for Horizon Europe.

Funding provider(s)
EU Horizon Europe
