Project Details

Description

General introduction

The project aims to expand the Food Pilot as a living lab for industry 4.0 in the food industry. This is to accelerate the implementation of known, but not yet fully exploited (smart) technology, both in terms of technology/hardware and data management/software. In addition, the living lab also aims to demonstrate innovative developments from other sectors to agri-food companies in order to realise the transformation to an agri-food industry 4.0.

Research approach

An open test facility is established as a first step towards implementation. This includes a multifunctional test setup to validate and demonstrate inline vision systems. The focus is on hyperspectral technology, heating processes and data management.

Relevance/Valorisation

It is aimed that companies will move to technology implementation through demonstrations and guidance and start follow-up processes for company-specific scale-up.
