    Abstract

In the search to tackle population and resource issues produced by urbanization, urban agriculture receives much consideration today. This research analyzes the governance process of urban agriculture for the case of Ghent (BE). The key stakeholders and events have a decisive role in the development of urban agriculture. An understanding of their interplay then, provides insight in the possible outcomes of urban agriculture. More broadly, it contributes to the theoretical literature for sustainable planning and policy of urban areas.
