Abstract
This chapter summarizes the main debates that have been discussed in the book, and illustrates them with examples from the book’s case studies. The chapter first explains why territorialisation is a useful concept. It then explores the relation between territorialisation and human agency, and the mediating role of culture. Next, it discusses the importance of nature and agency, and finally the main theoretical challenges.
