Abstract
About 600 Ulmus trees were sampled during a specific survey in 2017-2018 all over Belgium. The sampled leaves and roots were analysed for phytoplasma presence, using universal primers. In one tree ‘Candidatus Phytoplasma ulmi’, regulated pathogen, was detected and in four trees ‘Candidatus Phytoplasma fragariae’ presence was identified in different locations: Ulmus is a new host plant for this latter phytoplasma.
