    Abstract

    SPOT/VEGETATION D-10 and ENVISAT/Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar
    (ASAR) Wide Swath data are combined using a wavelet-based fusion technique. The
    objectives of the fusion are feature enhancement and improvement of classification accuracy
    of a wetland area, located in the Lake Chad basin. The fusion results are compared to those
    obtained by the intensity hue saturation (IHS) method and the principal component (PC)
