    Pesticide application technologies play an important role in (integrated) pest management. Most pesticides are applied using different types of spray application techniques. The main purpose of pesticide application technologies is to maximize deposition and transfer a lethal dose to the target while minimizing costs, residues, off-target losses and user exposure. This challenge has driven innovations in application technologies. This presentation will give an overview of pesticide application technologies and highlight some important aspects like spray physics and nozzle performance, sprayer calibration, legislation and regulation, mitigation of unintended environmental impacts and precision farming and innovative application techniques.
