Uittreksel
HYDRAS is a state-of-the-art high-throughput field phenotyping platform (HTFP). It allows the investigation of crop responses to drought and salt stress using mobile rainout shelters, drones and two-dimensional profiles of soil water. What makes HYDRAS unique is its ability to perform both aboveground and belowground field phenotyping, providing detailed insights into plant responses in a realistic crop production environment. HYDRAS allows open access for universities, research institutes and industrial partners. HYDRAS aims to support the development of new plant varieties with more efficient water uptake and increased tolerance to abiotic stresses, making the platform a valuable resource for the future of crop production.
