Uittreksel
Inspired by Francophone as well as Anglo-Saxon traditions, we combine geographically bounded and relational space, the natural and the cultural, the material and the immaterial, and bring the territory to the fore. By structuring the concept of ‘territorialisation’ in a three dimensional framework, we aim to show how the natural environment and culture are constitutive of each other. Territorialisation, then, is a process and a new lens to understand how culture mediates practices, symbolisation and institutionalisation in multi-scale spatial development.
